Dünya gündeminden esinlenen ve dünya gündemini oluşturan medya, 2020 yılında temel materyal olarak koronavirus konusunu kullanmış ve tüm dünyada etkili bir gündem oluşturmuştur. Bu çalışmada, 2019 yılının sonlarında başlayan Koronavirüs Pandemisi’nin insanlarda neden olduğu etkiler araştırılarak, medyanın Koronavirüs ile ilgili yayınları ve bu yayınların insanlardaki etkileri, yayınlara verilen tepkiler değerlendirilmiştir. Türkiye’de, 23 ilde yaşayan ve rastsal olarak seçilen 820 kişiyle sosyal medya aracılığıyla yapılan gayriresmi söyleşilerde, Pandemi ve medya ile ilgili sorular sorulmuş ve yanıtlar değerlendirilmiştir. Dünya, tarihinde yaşadığı ölümcül felaketlerden birini 2019 yılı sonlarından başlayarak yaşamış, tehlikeli bir salgın hastalık tüm dünyada hızla yayılmıştır. Ansızın ortaya çıkan ve yayılan salgında pek çok ülke tehlikenin farkına varamamış ve büyük kayıplar vermiştir. Covid 19 adıyla anılan virüs, ölümcül karakteriyle tüm anakaralara yayılmıştır. Ekonomiden sosyal yaşama kadar bütün alanları etkileyen Pandemi sürecinde medya da etkin bir rol oynamış, Pandemi Günlüğü ile bilgi akışı sağlamıştır. Korona tehlikesini algılayan insanlar salgın sürecini, kendilerine en yakın medyadan izlemişler, gündemden ayrılmamaya çalışmışlardır. Korona günlerinde medya, sürekli ve etkin biçimde pandemi ile ilgili gelişmeleri aktarmıştır. Türkiye’de yapılan bir araştırma, Türkiye’de yaşayan insanların, medyanın Pandemi konusunda yaptığı yayınlara karşı tepkilerini ve eleştirilerini ortaya koymuştur. Türkiye’nin değişik illerinde yaşayan kişilerle sosyal medya aracılığıyla yapılan görüşmelerde, medyanın Pandemi sürecindeki yayınlarına karşı gösterilen tepkiler değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmaya katılan bireylerin çoğu küresel salgınla ilgili gelişmeleri televizyondan veya sosyal medyadan izlediğini belirtmiş medyadaki çelişkili bilgilere ve yorumlara kızdıklarını Pandemiyle ilgili kamu spotlarını ve uyarıları genelde beğendiklerini belirtmişlerdir. Korona günlerinde medyanın yaptığı yayınlara gösterilen tepkiler, toplumun karakteristiğini de ortaya koymakta, toplumsal değerlere verdiği önemi ve yönetimden beklentilerini de dile getirmektedir. Türkiye’de Hatay Mustafa Kemal Üniversitesi İletişim Fakültesi Öğretim Üyesi Prof. Dr. Sedat Cereci’nin yaptığı Korona ve medya ilişkisi konulu araştırmada, Türk toplumunun konuya yaklaşımı ve öteden beri sahip olduğu tutumlar ortaya çıkmıştır. Türk toplumu, medyada yer alan çelişkili bilgilere ve yorumlara güvenmezken, toplumsal gereceklerden uzak yaşayan kişilerin uyarıda bulunmasını da hoş karşılamamıştır. Devletin, Pandemi konusunda izlediği politika ve uygulamalar genelde onaylanmış, konuyla doğrudan ilgisi bulunmayan kişilerin medyada konuşmaları onaylanmamıştır. Türk toplumu, Pandemi boyunca medyayı yakından izlemiş ve medya yayınlarını, geleneksel karakteristiğine ve değerlerine uygun bir biçimde değerlendirmiştir.

Inspired by the world agenda and forming the world agenda, the media used the coronavirus issue as the basic material in 2020 and created an effective agenda all over the world. In this study, the effects of the Coronavirus Pandemic, which started in late 2019, on humans were investigated, and the publications of the media on Coronavirus and the effects of these publications on humans and the reactions to the publications were evaluated. In the epidemic that suddenly emerged and spread, many countries did not realize the danger and suffered great losses. The virus, known as Covid 19, has spread to all mainlands with its deadly character. The media also played an active role in the pandemic process, which affected all areas from economy to social life, and provided information flow with the Pandemic Diary. People who perceived the Corona danger, watched the epidemic process from the media closest to them and tried not to leave the agenda. During the Corona days, the media conveyed the developments regarding the pandemic continuously and effectively. A study conducted in Turkey, people living in Turkey, media have revealed reactions and criticisms against his publications about the pandemic. Turkey is in talks with people living in different cities through social media, reactions demonstrations against the publication in the media of the pandemic were evaluated. Most of the individuals participating in the study stated that they watched the developments regarding the global epidemic on television or social media, and they stated that they were angry with the contradictory information and comments in the media, and they generally liked the public spots and warnings about the pandemic. The reactions to the broadcasts of the media in the Corona days also reveal the characteristics of the society, express the importance it attaches to social values and expectations from the management. Prof. Dr. Sedat Cereci from Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Faculty of Communication in Turkey conducted a survey on the relationship between Corona and the media, the approach of the Turkish society to the subject and the attitudes that it has had for a long time have been revealed. While Turkish society did not trust the contradictory information and comments in the media, it did not welcome the warnings of people living far from social implications. The policies and practices followed by the state regarding the pandemic are generally approved, and the speeches of people who are not directly involved in the issue are not approved. Turkish society has followed the media closely throughout the pandemic and evaluated media broadcasts in accordance with their traditional characteristics and values.
