When people enter the same environment with other individuals, they need to reflect their own existence. That is, in order to realize the self-presentation, it is necessary to interact and interact with other people. All verbal and nonverbal expressions are used in the presentation of the self, especially in physical communication. Experiences, perceptions and attitudes of people are effective in the use and interpretation of these expressions. Today, due to the transfer of communication to virtual environments, self-presentation is also becoming digital. People need to transfer themselves to others in various social media channels, internet networks, games and communication applications called "app". The aim of the article is to examine the Metaverse universe, which is considered a new field, in which many participants are involved today, in relation to Goffman's "Self Presentation" theory. For this purpose, a literature review was made and a compilation article was presented. The study, which was limited to articles on self-presentation in the digital world, primarily focused on domestic and foreign articles on Metaverse. In the first part of the article, articles on Goffman and the theory of Self Presentation are compiled. In the second part, studies on the subject of Metaverse and articles about self-presentation in Metaverse are discussed.
