New technological products are constantly being developed in order to facilitate daily life of people. among these developments, internet technologies provide the largest contribution in most areas. Web 3.0 technology, also called semantic web, has a special meaning in this field. This study aims to literature review published studies on the use of Web 3.0 technology in education. Studies conducted in the last 10 years on this subject were investigated and 19 relevant studies were examined. The studies were classified and examined under three headings. First head is comparison of Web 3.0 and earlier technologies, second head web 3.0 structure and programming process and third head is the education applications which are supported through Web 3.0 technology and student views on this technology.
