When the studies on leadership are examined, we see that while more emphasis is placed on the concept of ‘leadership’ in the field of war and management, studies on leaders / pioneers in education are limited. While new researches on leadership types are being added day by day, such as ‘leadership in art, pioneer / leader in art’ researches on the titles are not encountered. In this study, art leadership, which is a type of leadership, is discussed, and contributes to this leadership with teaching identities in the fields of art (music / architecture); the art leadership aspects of Necdet Yaşar (1930-2017), referred to as ‘Light of Tanbur’ and Turgut Cansever (1921-2009), who has become famous with the name of ‘Wise Architect’, have been examined as a qualitative research. Qualitative research method design is a case study. The data were obtained by document / document analysis technique, which is one of the qualitative data collection techniques. In the study, the themes of art (sub-themes; original aspects in art - music / architecture), ideas about art and the perception of the environment in which they grew up) and leadership (sub-themes; humility, patience, perseverance and sensitivity) were analyzed.
