Today, the concept of virtual reality, which is present in many fields, is used quite effectively in art. While supporting the digitalized structure of contemporary art, virtual reality, which brings art to a different dimension with its interactive feature and combines art and technology, has become a preferred form of expression by contemporary artists. The use of typographic elements in these artistic productions also carries the interactive virtual experience to different dimensions. The research aims to reveal how virtual typography is based on "The Legible City," which is one of the first examples of its field, owned by the artist Jeffrey Shaw. In this sense, firstly defined the concept of virtual reality, and then the projects in which virtual typography was used were examined and presented. Accordingly, it was concluded that virtual typography has a different dynamic and developed design solutions. It has been observed that the relationship between text and readability in virtual typography is more complex than typographic designs in the printed environment. The research is essential in presenting the current usage possibilities of typography with digitalization and creating a resource about virtual typography.
