The aim of this study is to evaluate whether Logistics 5.0 is a conceptual extension of Logistics 4.0 or an independent paradigm shift. A qualitative research method was adopted, utilizing a comparative conceptual analysis technique based on a literature review. The research findings indicate that Logistics 5.0 is technologically a continuation of Logistics 4.0; however, it adds new strategic dimensions to the existing logistics approach by emphasizing elements such as human-centeredness, sustainability, ethical management, and the creation of social value. Therefore, Logistics 5.0 can be considered a more holistic and advanced evolution of Logistics 4.0, rather than a completely independent paradigm. The importance of this study stems from its contribution to the conceptual discussions in the literature by evaluating the Logistics 5.0 concept within the context of a paradigm shift. It is believed that future empirical studies will contribute to the validation of these results in different sectors and application areas.
